We stopped at some kelp to see how good the kids could fish. We got into some nice Calico Bass. Here is Destiny with her first one of the day.

Nice calico Barry! We had a great time fishing with Captain Mike Bullard and crew on the Pacific Star. They did many trips to Guadalupe this year, and plan on doing many more next year. Also, the Pacific Star will be fishing out of Pierpoint Landing this spring!

After trying Anacapa for a while we made the move to Santa Cruz. We fished Pedro Point, Smuggler's Cove, and Yellowbanks. Capt John kept moving looking for the fish. We ended up fishing in the kelp beds at Yellowbanks. Here's Wayne with a nice Santa Cruz Island calico (the fish was released after the photo).
